An in-person program just for our teen and tween girls ages 10-14, this is a book club like no other! We will assign specific chapters/pages to read before the next meeting to have lively discussions about the current book, play thematic games/activities, and enjoy snacks. At the first meeting for each book, participants get to know each other through fun activities. A group vote is made on what book to read from a selection of pre-determined books. Once a book has been chosen by the club, a link to order it would be sent to the parent. Books include a character(s) with a differently wired brain and may be of various genres. Some examples include:
It takes 6-8 weeks to complete each book with their discussions and activities. We typically have 4-6 participants for each book the club reads and they take turns bringing a snack to share. A drink is provide by Inside Out Learners.
- learn more and appreciate the differently-wired brain,
- have an opportunity to develop friendships with neurodivergent thinkers,
- spend time with other girls who "get it", and most of all,
- HAVE FUN!!
