Inside Out Learners, Inc. provides social skills instruction, academic tutoring, teen socials, and lots more through a variety of engaging activities, with the highest regard to the unique needs and interests of each individual. It is a stress-free setting for individuals ages 3 - 30 to learn strategies that help strengthen their ability to interact more effectively with others and/or their academic performance. Although our programs are autism-friendly, we serve a diverse population who benefit from a small group setting. We provide cutting edge, research-supported curricula and interventions that address essential skills needed to support social development and academic performance, regardless of the presence or absence of a formal diagnosis. At Inside Out Learners, Inc. we use a social-cognitive approach tailored to help individuals learn how to share space with others more effectively. Some of the many concepts we teach include how to: manage anxiety, improve executive functioning, read non-verbal social cues and body language, regulate emotions, think more flexibly, and improve conversational skills, among many others. Our small group design presents a safe and structured environment to facilitate positive social interactions that participants can generalize into other settings. To fully benefit from our services, clients must have average to above average language and cognition. Due to limited practice space at this time, our programs are formatted for those who are generally independent in using the restroom facilities, remain with the group, and refrain from elopement, aggressive, or otherwise disruptive behaviors that require a higher level of supervision.
