Terrie Livingston, M.Ed.

Terrie Livingston, a Hampton Roads native, has over 30 years of experience working with neurodivergent individuals across residential, vocational, and educational settings. She holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Education with special education endorsements from Old Dominion University. A Certified Autism Specialist and Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner, Terrie is passionate about educating neurodivergent learners in non-traditional ways. Her dedication to fostering meaningful connections and providing up-to-date, research-based instruction inspired her to open Inside Out Learners.
Outside of work, Terrie enjoys family time, reading, listening to podcasts, and is a member of The Autism Society of America and the International Dyslexia Association.

Danielle Carpenter, M.S. in Special Education
Marketing Manager/Special Education Teacher/Virtual & In-Person Tutor

Danielle Carpenter has been a Virginia licensed educator working with children since 2015. She studied Special Education - General Curriculum at Longwood University, graduating with a B.S. in 2014, an M.S. in 2015 and a graduate certification in Autism Spectrum Disorders in 2015. Her teaching career has brought her through numerous educational settings with a wide range of students. She started as a substitute teacher in Fairfax County during college, then was hired on as a special education teacher upon graduation. She spent 3 years teaching in the public school self-contained settings in FCPS and VBCPS. Needing a change, she shifted to working with middle and high school students in the residential program at Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health for about 2 years.
After a few years in corporate America, Danielle is excited to be returning to education and working with students again. She and her husband have two young daughters. They enjoy reading, visits to the library, and exploring local parks in their free time together.
Brittany DeJesus, B.S. in Elementary & Special Education

Brittany graduated from High Point University in May of 2021 with a Bachelor’s in Elementary and Special Education. She has been working in public schools ever since! She is currently a 4th grade inclusion teacher in Suffolk Public Schools. After school, she works with IOL to help students continue to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. She has a true passion for teaching. Outside of school, Brittany loves to travel, shop, bake, and code! She is always looking for an adventure and something creative to do/make. Brittany is so excited to be a part of IOL’s team and loves working with as many families as she can to ensure their students are successful in achieving their goals!
Lindsey Cramer, M.Ed.

Lindsey is a dedicated educator with a passion for working with neurodivergent learners. After earning her Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies and her Master’s in Education from James Madison University in 2020 and 2021, she embarked on her teaching career with a focus on inclusive, student-centered learning. Currently a 3rd-grade teacher in Virginia Beach City Public Schools, Lindsey is committed to fostering an environment where every student’s unique needs and learning styles are celebrated. With a deep understanding of the importance of flexibility and personalized instruction, she strives to create a learning environment where all students can thrive, grow, and feel supported in their academic journey.
Laura Morse, M.Ed.
English Education Teacher/In-person Tutor

Laura Morse earned her Bachelor’s in English and a Master’s in English Education from The University of Virginia. She holds a Virginia Teacher License with endorsements in English Grades 6-12, English as a Second Language K-12, and Library Media Specialist K-12. For the past 4 years, Laura has taught English at Catholic High School in Virginia Beach. She enjoys spending time with her husband and walking her dogs.
Malerie Killen, M.Ed.
Reading Specialist/Special Education Teacher/Virtual Tutor

Malerie Killen earned her Bachelor’s in Special Education and a Master’s in Reading Education from Towson University. She holds a Virginia Teacher License with endorsements in Special Education, Elementary Education, and Reading Specialist. With over 15 years of experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum, Malerie is passionate about enhancing literacy skills in learners with autism and related disabilities.
Malerie is a special education teacher and was recently elected Teacher of the Year for her school district, Suffolk Public Schools.
Jason Medaris
Social Programs Facilitator/Dungeons & Dragons Game Master

Jason Medaris joined the Inside Out Learners team as a facilitator in mid-2023 and runs the Dungeons and Dragons group. He is originally from Dallas, Texas and has lived in the Hampton Roads area since 1999. Jason has 25 years of experience facilitating Navy training, education and instruction, and intends to complete his Bachelor of Education after his retirement from the military in late 2024. Jason is a dedicated husband and father who enjoys teaching, travel, hiking, photography, cooking as well as tabletop role playing and card games. He uses his interest in immersive gaming to connect with the children to develop their decision making and interpersonal skills.
Jena Pang, B.S. in Business Administration, RBT
Social Programs Facilitator/Substitute Teacher/Office Assistant

Jena (pronounced "Jee-nuh") Pang, originally from Pennsylvania and raised in Puerto Rico, earned her Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 2005. As a military spouse and mother to a neurodivergent child, she developed a passion for working with children with unique needs. She became a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) in 2015 and has volunteered extensively with the Autism Society of Tidewater. At Inside Out Learners, Jena leads social clubs, including the popular Hangout Clubs, and develops summer camp programs. She is also a licensed Zumba instructor and enjoys family time, hiking, and the beach.
