Our credentialed team builds meaningful relationships and provides personalized academic, social, and emotional support that honors each learner’s identity—never asking them to mask or conform.
Families often tell us they’re amazed by the transformation: children gaining confidence, forming real friendships, and finally enjoying learning without hiding who they are. That kind of growth isn’t accidental—it’s the result of our commitment to connection over correction, and belonging over “fixing.” We don’t just support learners. We celebrate them, exactly as they are.

Our Story
Inside Out Learners was founded in January 2016 by Terrie, a special educator with more than 30 years of experience working with neurodivergent individuals across residential, school, and community settings. But the decision to open Inside Out Learners wasn’t just professional—it was deeply personal.
After the birth of her third child, who is both neurodivergent and gender-diverse, Terrie knew she wanted to do more. Rather than return to the classroom, she built something new: a space where neurodivergent and gender-diverse learners could receive the kind of individualized, affirming support she wished had always existed. What began as social-emotional learning groups, connection groups, parent consultations, and academic tutoring quickly grew—and three years later, Inside Out Learners moved to a larger, more centrally located facility to meet the needs of an expanding community.
Ten years in, that founding vision is stronger than ever.
