A Neuroaffirming Book Club for Families & Allies of Trans People
July 8 – August 12, 2025
Hosted on Zoom · Facilitated by Inside Out Learners
This program is completely free - but you must register to attend.
Whether your loved one is a trans child, teen, adult, or elder, this group offers a welcoming space to learn, reflect, and grow in your allyship journey. Queerious Minds is a 6-week virtual book club for parents, caregivers, partners, and allies of transgender and gender-expansive people of all ages — with a neurodiversity-affirming foundation.
Together, we’ll read Love Lives Here by Amanda Jetté Knox — a moving memoir of family transformation, gender identity, and what it really means to show up with love. You don’t need prior experience — just curiosity, openness, and the desire to grow in community.
💙 Neuroaffirming & Inclusive
We honor different brains and bodies. This space welcomes all communication styles and processing needs — stimming, pausing, using chat instead of speaking, or keeping your camera off are all completely okay. Closed captions are enabled, and pacing will be gentle and flexible.
We also acknowledge the significant overlap between autistic and transgender identities, and strive to create a space where neurodivergent and gender-diverse experiences are celebrated, not pathologized.
📘 What We’re Reading
Love Lives Here is available in paperback, audiobook, and eBook formats. You can find it at local bookstores, libraries, Bookshop.org, Audible, or Amazon.
(Links will be sent in your confirmation email after you register.)
