Reading Builders is a small-group summer intensive designed to support elementary learners who may be struggling with reading, spelling, word recognition, or reading confidence.

Using engaging, science-of-reading-aligned instruction, learners will strengthen foundational literacy skills through explicit teaching, movement-based activities, games, guided practice, and supportive small-group learning experiences.

This intensive may be a great fit for learners who:

• guess at words while reading

• struggle with spelling patterns

• have difficulty sounding out unfamiliar words

• read slowly or with low confidence

• show signs of dyslexia or other reading challenges​

Skills targeted may include:

• phonics and decoding strategies

• spelling patterns and word study

• fluency and accuracy

• reading stamina and confidence

• multisyllabic word reading

Our intentionally small group size allows instructors to provide individualized support while creating a warm, encouraging environment for neurodivergent learners.
